Card Clubs - March 6 and 13, 2012

These are the cards that we will be doing at my cards clubs on March 6 and March 13:

This card was made with the Everybunny set and was inspired by Wanda @ www.starlightstamper.com.  The base card uses elegant eggplant topped with whisper white which has been embossed with the little dots embossing folder.  I used the pinking hearts border on the middle elegant eggplant piece.  I also used the Stampin' Up! corner punch which I do not see in the current catalog - whoops!  The stamp set was colored in with markers, and I used chalk around the stamped image.

These cards were made with the All in the Family and Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp sets.  They were inspired by some cards that I saw on www.splitcoatstampers, and I apologize that I was not able to find them again so that I could give the proper person credit.  The base cards are whisper white (guess I should have put them on a darker paper when I took the picture so it would show up better).  The boy card uses bashful blue and chocolate chip, and the girl card uses pretty in pink and chocolate chip.  The following punches were used to make this card:  scallop circle 2-3/8 and 1-3/4, dotted scallop ribbon border, square 1-1/4 and 1-3/8.

I learned how to make this cute little tea bag holder from Linda at www.stampingschool.com, and it uses the Tea Shoppe stamp set out of the Occasions mini catalog.  The base card uses night of navy card stock that is cut 10-1/2" X 3-1/2", and then scored at 3-1/2" and 7".  The square on the front and the scallop circle on the inside are made with lucky limeade card stock.  The little flowers and ribbon are calypso coral, and I stamped on whisper white paper using night of navy, lucky limeaid, and calypso coral.  The little flowers also have pearls in the center.  This project uses a neat technique with sticky notes to create the stacked tea cup effect.  I am a tea drinker and look forward to giving a few of my tea-drinking friends one as a gift.

This is my beloved dog Molly who will celebrate her 10th birthday this month.  She is a border collie/husky mix, and a permanet fixture in my craft room whenever I am in there.  I do have to watch her though as she doesn't mind chewing on paper and wooden stamps if she finds them on the floor.

Card Clubs - February 7 & 14

I just love this new Apothecary Art stamp set out of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I colored the stamp in with bashful blue, artichoke, and night of navy markers and then stamped it on whisper white paper.  I used the new label framelits to cut out the whisper white and night of navy.  The little butterfly is from the beautiful wings embosslit set.  The happiest birthday is from the new Loving Thoughts stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The main card is night of navy card stock, and the topper is bashful blue card stock embossed with the little dots, and punched with the eyelet border.

This sympathy card was made with the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.  I used the tempting turquoise as the main card and tempting turquoise and chocolate brown markers to color on the stamp.  I cut out a top note in both whisper white and chocolate brown, and then trimmed the outer dotted line off the white one.  The butterflies were made using the beautiful wings embosslit.

This card was made using the new Take it to Heart and Loving Thoughts stamp sets out of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The main color is baja breeze.  I used the heart framelits to cut out all of the hearts, and topped it off with the baja breeze pleated satin ribbon.

This card was inspired by Momma Charles on Splitcoaststampers.  I used the Elementary Elegance stamp set which I got for free out of the Sale-a-bration catalog.  The main card is very vanilla.  The bottom half is topped with DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog, and the top half is topped with sahara sand card stock which has been stamped with early espresso ink and punched with the curly label punch.  In the center is early espresso paper punched with the scallop ribbon border punch.  The little brads are also out of the Sale-a-bration catalog.

Free Sale-a-bration Stamp Sets

I made these two cards using a Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Fresh Vintage stamp set that I got for free.  They were both made with elegant eggplant, old olive, and whisper white paper.  I colored on the stamp with the old olive and elegant eggplant markers and stamped it on whisper white paper.  I also used the new label framelits, tulip embossing folder, beautiful wings embosslit, and pearls.

These two cards were made with the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Elementary Elegance stamp set that I got for free.  I used some of the designer series paper on the bottom with sahara sand paper on the top.  The image was stamped with early espresso.  The baja breeze pleated satin ribbon from the new occassions mini catalog separates the two papers.  The butterflies were made with baja breeze paper using the beautiful wing embosslit and pearls.
