<div abp="262" style="text-align: justify;">
This card was made using the Love & Sympathy stamp set. The base card is tempting turquoise embossed with the lovely lace embossing folder. The white pieces are whisper white cardstock cut out with the oval framelits. The old olive border was cut out with a spellbinder that I happened to have. The image was stamped by using the tempting turquoise and old olive markers directly on the stamp and then "huffing" on it prior to stamping. The sentiment was stamped in black Memento ink, and the butterflies were cut out with the beautiful wings embosslit.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card was made using the Moon Lake stamp set. The base card is cajun craze cardstock topped with always artichoke punched with the notebook punch that I just realized is no longer in the catalog (sorry about that). I used sponges dipped in various colors of ink to create the background before stamping the image with early espresso ink. The sentiment background was created by using the word window and modern label punches.</div>

This card was made with the Groovy Love Stamp set. The base card is tempting turquoise card stock, with a piece of black and white card stock cut out with the one note die. The white images were made with versamark ink and white embossing powder. We then used sponges to apply daffodil delight, tempting turquoise, and melon mambo ink to create the tie die effect.<br />

These cards were made with the Hey, Valentine and World Map stamp sets. The base cards use cherry cobbler and coastal cabana card stock. We used the black memento ink to stamp the images on whisper white cardstock and then colored them in with the blendability markers. The banners were created with the banner punch and framelits.</div>

If you believe one of my cards is a replica of one you created, please feel free to tag yourself.) In addition to seeing a shadow on all of my pictures, it looks like I also should have cropped them. Perhaps this is why I haven't posted in so long.)<br />

These two cards were made with the Blessed Easter stamp in the mini catalog. The card on the left also uses the hexagon hive thinlits die. I used the ink pads and a blender pen to color the tulips and leaves in. Hoping that you and yours have a Blessed Easter!</div>

After this "catch up" post, I'm hoping to post a little more regularly. I'm also looking forward to scheduling a couple of parties this Spring.<br />
<br />
Below are some cards that I made during my break:<br />
<br />
This was my favorite Fall card which was made with the Gently Falling stamp set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiASlO8H8uA9AU3bVewHUZSWjI5WpjHLh9F-3WplvTMbEmO2kF2KGjLeyUdT7DR2BKSnWzSZTKXiR64LKPjaXZ82nUAh-laUT2lA5vLrZ1vKaG3RFbWsbsUMUKzGKgwv0irx_LNpz2hOXk/s1600/015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiASlO8H8uA9AU3bVewHUZSWjI5WpjHLh9F-3WplvTMbEmO2kF2KGjLeyUdT7DR2BKSnWzSZTKXiR64LKPjaXZ82nUAh-laUT2lA5vLrZ1vKaG3RFbWsbsUMUKzGKgwv0irx_LNpz2hOXk/s1600/015.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This was one of the Christmas cards I made this year, but I didn't make or send nearly as many as usual:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Envelope Punch Board - Item #133774 - $19.95</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">The envelop punch board is one of my favorite new tools. It <span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!</span></span><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br /><span style="color: red;"><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Features:</span></b></span></span></div>
<ul>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Super easy to use - it looks intimidating at first glance, but all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn 90% and and score. It's that simple!</span></span></div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">It's small and lightweight so it stores easily and you can take it and use it anywhere - you could use it while watching a soccer match at a park, or take it to a friend's for craft night.</span></span></div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">It comes with a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes. </span></span></div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).</span></span></div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much! </span></span></div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">It will be in next year's annual catalog, so it's here to stay.</span></span></div>

<br />
It's that time of year again for the Late Night Stampers (LNS) 2013 Treasure Hunt. The hunt will run from August 20 through October 25, and the winner will be announced on this blog on October 28. One winner from each participating country will be picked, and the prize will be $3 times the number of participating blogs for that country. So if there are 50 blogs from the United States, the winner would win $150 in products.<br />
<br />
<em><u>Here’s how to play:</u></em><br />
-go to the page (listed at the top of my blog) titled ‘LNS Fall 2013 Treasure Hunt'<br />
-visit each of the blogs listed below (it’s always nice to leave a comment!) -look for participating Treasure Hunt players – they will have the picture of the SU! box (above), and they will list their clue<br />
-make a note of what the clue is, and whose blog it is on<br />
-once you’ve collected 50 clues, email them to ME at <strong>(<a href="mailto:*riehlebr@gmail.com">*riehlebr@gmail.com</a>*) </strong> listing each clue & where you found it<br />
-<span style="color: #ff6600;"><span style="color: black;">you have from Tuesday, August 20, to Friday, October 25, 2013, to collect 50 clues and email them to me, to be entered into the contest.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #ff6600;"><span style="color: black;"></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #ff6600;"><span style="color: black;">My clue is:</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card uses the Love & Laughter and Itty Bitty Banners stamp sets. The base card is pretty in pink (so sorry to see that this color is being discontinued) topped with a piece of rose red and then whisper white which was embossed with the elegant bouquet embossing folder. All of the stamping was done with rose red ink on whisper white paper. The hearts were made with rose red and silver glitter paper using the small heart punch and the fashionable hearts embosslits. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This card was copied from one that Lisa Curcio had on splitcoaststampers. Lisa's blog can be seen at <a href="http://lisacurcio.blogspot.com/">Http://lisacurcio.blogspot.com</a>. The card uses the Printed Petals and the 25th anniversary Best of Birthdays stamp sets. The base card is old olive card stock. I used tangerine tango, tempting turquoise, and old olive ink to stamp the flowers on the whisper white cardstock. I stamped one extra flower in tempting turquoise and old olive, cut them out, and applied them with dimensionals. There is also a small piece of tempting turquoise paper punched with the scallop edge border behind the whisper white. The birthday sentiment was stamped with old olive on whisper white and cut out with the large oval punch.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This card was made using the Dapper Dad, Loving Thoughs, and Family Reunion stamp sets. The base card is night of navy topped with a piece of old olive that has been embossed with the argyle embossing folder. All items were stamped using night of navy ink on whisper white paper. I also used the dotted scallop border ribbon punch on night of navy paper behind the sentinment in the middle, and an inverted corner punch on the sentiment and background paper at the top.</div>

This card was made using the I Dig You stamp set. The base card is Real Red cardstock topped with a piece of Whisper White that has been embossed with the new Cloudy Day embossing folder. I used a colored pencil and blender pen to make the blue background around the clouds. The sentiment, truck, and back hoe were stamped with Real Red and Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock. The Real Red cardstock behind the sentiment was punched with the Modern Label punch. The mounds of dirt were made with Chocolate Chip cardstock.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card was made using the Sale-a-bration Vintage Verses and Papillon Potpourri stamp sets. The base card is Pacific Point cardstock topped with a piece of Whisper White that has lots of pretty swirls which were created by laying the Whisper White cardstock in a concoction of shaving cream and drops of ink. I'm looking forward to trying this technique with everyone. The sentiment in the center and the butterfly were both stamped with Pacific Point ink on Whisper White. I also sponged some Regal Rose around the sentiment after cutting it out with the Labels Collection Framelits. The Regal Rose butterflies were punched with tthe Elegant Butterfly punch and the new Bitty Butterfly punch.</div>

This card was inspired by Amy on Splitcoaststampers, and Amy's blog can be seen at <a href="http://www.stampwithamyk.com/">www.stampwithAmyK.com</a>. It uses the Sizzlits S Die and Wishes Your Way stamp set which are both from the new spring catalog. The base card uses Old Olive cardstock which has been topped with Daffodil Delight embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. The squares were punched using the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" square punches in Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, and Marina Mist. I cut designer series paper witth the S D to create the whirly-gigs, and secured them with a brad.</div>

This card was made using the Stylin' Snowfolk stamp set. The base card uses Real Red cardstock topped with Bashful Blue cardstock which has been embossed with the Northern Flury embossing folder. I stamped the snowpeople using Basic Black ink on Whisper White paper. Prior to adding the accessories other than the face which I stamped directly on the snowpeople, I added glue and sprinked with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The accessories were made by stamping Basic Black, Real Red, and Pumpkin Pie on Whisper White. The little heart at the top is Real Red cardstock punched with the mini heart punch.</div>

This card was made using the Secret Garden stamp set and coordinating framelits along with the Easter Blessings stamp set. The base card uses Regal Rose cardstock topped with a piece of Whisper White. I stamped the Easter Blessings on the Whisper White with the Rose Red ink, and I also sponged a little of the Rose Red ink around the outside of the Whisper White cardstock. The leaves were made using the framelits and Old Olive cardstock. The flowers were made by stamping Basic Black on Rose Red, and Rose Red on Regal Rose cardstock, and then they were all cut out using the framelits.</div>

Below are the cards that we will be making in the January card club:<br />

<div align="justify">
This card was inspired by Janet Yates, and her blog can be seen at <a href="http://www.stampinnerd.blogspot.com/">www.stampinnerd.blogspot.com</a>. It uses the Serene Silhouettes and Petite Paris stamp sets. The base card uses Daffodil Delight card stock. I used the Top Note die to cut out a piece of Black and So Saffron card stock. Using a brayer and sponge, I coated the So Saffron piece with Daffodil Delight, Pumpking Pie, and Tangerine Tango ink, and then stamped the image in Basic Black and sponged a little black beneath that. The bufferflies were made with the Butterfly embosslit folder in Daffodil Delight and Basic Black card stock. The bottom sentiment was stamped with Basic Black on Daffodil Delight and punched with the oval scallop punch and backed with a piece of Basic Black punched with an oval punch.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This card was made using the Blooming with Kindness and Petite Pairs stamp sets. I saw many very similar cards using this same technique so I can't really say that this card was inspired by any one person. The base card and all framing pieces were made using Real Red Card Stock, and the other card stock is Very Vanilla. I placed the three pieces of Very Vanilla card stock on top of each other, and then sporadically stamped the image using Real Red ink. After stamping, I adhered the Real Red card stock to each piece and just glued them to each other. The bottom sentiment was made in a similar fashion and punched with the oval scallop and small oval punch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Hopefully everyone has received the new spring catalog. This card was made using a new set out of that catalog, the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and coordinating frametlit set. The base card is Melon Mambo topped with a piece of Pretty in Pink that was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The Melon Mambo paper behind the heart images was cut out using the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits. The hearts were stamped using Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White paper and cut out with the framelits. The bottom sentiment was made using the Layered Labels stamp set and coordinating framelits.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
These cards will conclude our current card clubs, and I am currently signing up people to join one of two cards clubs that will be held at my house. If you are interested in joining, please let me know. Thank you.</div>

The design for these cards was inspiried by Lynn Weiss, and her blog can be found at <a href="http://www.lwdesigns.blogspot.com/">www.lwdesigns.blogspot.com</a>. Both cards use the Two by Two stamp which has been inked with Night of Navy ink and stamped on Whisper White card stock, and then cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits. I used the colored pencils and blender pens to color in the picture. The base cards and piece behind the stamped image were done in Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink. The Bashful Blue was topped with a piece of Night of Navy, and the Pretty in Pink was topped with Melon Mambo both of which were embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. I used the Raspberry Ripple 3/8" stitched satin ribbon on the blue card, and the Gumball Green 3/8" stitched satin ribbon on the pink card. The little baby tag on the bottom right of the card was made using the Tiny Tags stamp set and coordinating punch.</div>

These cards were made using the Evergreen stamp set. The base cards are River Rock and Wild Wasbi. The River Rock card has been topped with a piece of Elegant Eggplant, and the Wild Wasbi card has been topped with a piece of Certainly Celery both of which have been embossed with Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. On the River Rock/Elegant Eggplant card the Christmas tree outline has been stamped with Elegant Eggplant on Wisteria Wonder paper, and the Silent Night words have been embossed in gold on top. I also sponged around the Wisteria Wonder paper with Elegant Eggplant. On the Wild Wasbi/Certainly Celery card the filled-in treee image was stamped with Certainly Celery on Whisper White, and the tree outline was stamped over the top with Wild Wasbi. The sentiment at the bottom comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set which was punched with the Word Window punch, and outlined with a piece of Wild Wasbi which was punched with the Modern Label punch. I sponged around the outside of the Whisper White paper with Wild Wasbi ink.</div>

My nephew, Matthew, and his beautiful fiance, Carissa, are getting married later this afternoon, and this is the card I made. The base card is basic black topped with red glitter paper, and a piece of wedding paper framed in the basic black, and punched with a corner heart punch I have. The bride and groom hearts were made with the Stampin' Up! heart framelits. The bride heart was embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder, and I also cut out a piece of silver glitter paper with the heart framelits to put behind the white bride heart, and topped it off with a rhinestone. The forever and always sentiment at the bottom of the card is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set, and was stamped with versamark and embossed with silver embossing poweder. The little red hearts on each side of the sentiment are red glitter paper punched with a small heart punch. Congratulations, Matt & Carissa, and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!</div>

This card uses the Gently Falling and Layered Labels stamps sets. The base card is daffodil delight. The "For You" at the bottom of the card was stamped with cherry cobbler on whisper white, and then cut out with a framelit. The ribbon behind the "For You" is the 1/8" taffeta ribbon in early espresso. There is a 3-1/4" layer of early espresso topped with a 3" layer of cherry cobber. I punched out the white squares, and then stamped them with cherry cobbler and daffodil delight ink. The edges have been sponged with early espresso. </div>

This card was inspired by one made by KimRothStamps on Splitcoaststampers and uses the Friendship Preseves stamp set and coordinating framelits. The base card is chocolate chip which has been topped with a layer of island indigo which was embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder. The "Thanks a Bunch" stamp was stamped with island indigo on whisper white and cut out with the framelits, and then framed with a piece of chocolate chip paper that was cut out using the next larger framelit. There is a small piece of designer series paper at the bottom with a whisper white ribbon to top it off.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This card, which uses the Merry Minis and Greetings of the Season stamp sets, was inspired by Lynn Starzl. Lynn's creative blog can be seen at <a href="http://www.starzlstamps.com/">www.starzlstamps.com</a>. The base card is marina mist which has been topped with a piece of whisper white. I used the Merry Minis coordinating punch pack to punch out the decorations which were stamped in real red, marina mist, and old olive. I also added some glitter to the stars in the corners. The sentiment at the bottom was also stamped in marina mist. The squares framing the mini decorations were created using the 3/4" and 1" circle, postage stamp, and scallop square punches. I topped the card off with a litttle red bow.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card was inspired by the card on p. 29 in the new Stampin' Up! holiday catalog and uses the Perfecty Preserved stamp set and coordinating framelit dies. I used cajun craze for the main card, and the first layer was lucky limeaid card stock which was cut with the window frames framelits, and then pierced with the coordinating piercing pack. All of the stamping was done on whisper white card stock. The canning jar and pear stem were done in early espresso, the canning jar top, flower, and wording were all done in cajun craze, and the pear was stamped in lucky limeaid. The sentiment and sentiment background were both cut out using the itty bitty banner framelits. I used a small piece of hemp for the bow in the upper left corner.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This card uses the new Googly Ghouls stamp set. The base card is pumpkin pie card stock which has been topped with a piece of whisper white that was embosseed with the spider web folder and chalked with gray chalk. All stamping was done on whisper white paper. The sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes hostess stamp set and was stamped using pumpkin pie ink. The witch and spider were stamped using basic black ink, and I colored the witch's face in with certainly celery marker.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card was made using the Love & Sympathy stamp set. The base card is bashful blue. The first layer is choclate chip card stock which has been embossed with the petals-a-plenty embossing folder. All stamping was done on whishper white card stock with chocolate chip ink. I used a sponge dipped in chocolate chip ink to accent the edges of the whisper white card stock before mounting them on the bashful blue background pieces. I used the beautiful wings embosslit to cut out both the bashful blue and chocolate chip colored butterflies. I used the dotted ribbon border scallop punch to create the piece at the bottom of the card. The 2-3/8" scallop circle punch was used on bashful blue card stock to create the border for the sentiment which was punched using the 1-3/4" circle punch.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm still experiencing some difficulty in getting really good pictures of the cards and believe that the cards look much better in person than they do on the computer screen. If anyone not in the card club would like to make these cards, I still have room for a few more people at my house on Wednesday, September 12.</div>
