Card Clubs - January 3 and January 10

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that you are all looking forward to a new year.

These are the cards that we will be making at my Card Clubs on January 3 and January 10:

This card was inspired by Plain Jane on Splitcoaststampers, and it uses the Stampin' Up! Winter Post and Lovely as a Tree Stamp sets.  I used a dryer sheet and dazzling diamonds glitter to create the snow look, and Crystal Effects on the reflection image.

This card was inspired by Darlene Designs on Splitcoaststampers, and it uses the Stampin' Up! I (heart) Hearts stamp set.  I used white embossing powder on whisper white card stock, and then added the color using sponges on the ink pads.  I also used the heart embosslit to create the pink heart in the lower right corner of the card.

This card is a "Brenda Original," and I made it using the Stampin' Up! Take it to Heart and Loving Thoughts stamp sets along with the heart embossing plate.

I really love doing the Card Clubs.  I've made some great new friends, and I'm looking foward to having a lot of fun and sharing some new ideas and techniques .

2011 Christmas Cards

What a busy time of the year it is!  I'm afraid that I have been very neglectful of my posting, but I did want to add pictures of some of the Christmas cards I made this year.  I do want to note that many of the cards I made were replicas or came from ideas of other people on splitcoaststampers.com, although there are a few Brenda originals.  Thanks for looking.

November Card Classes

I have two card clubs now, and this is the one that meets the first Tuesday of the month in my home.  It's a great group of ladies, and we have a lot of fun.  I would love to start up another club if anyone would be interested in joining.

This is one of the cards that we made last Tuesday and will also make at the club tomorrow.  I cased this card from LisaTheStampLady on Splitcoaststamers.com, and it uses the Lovely as a Tree and Delightful Decorations stamp sets.  The silver embossed trees in the background look very pretty in person, and the silver twine and little silver bows really set it off nicely.  A special thank you to Amy Hart for lending me this set.  I liked it so much that I ended up ordering one for myself.

The idea for this card came from Linda Heller at www.stampingschool.com, and it uses the Snow Much Fun stamp set.  To make this card, you actually stamp on vellum with a black ink pad, and then color it in on the opposite side.

One of the ladies in my card class that meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month was looking for a Christmas card for a child, and I borrowed this idea from someone at Splitcoaststampers.

There is a great special for hostesses right now.  If your workshop or class reaches $350, you receive an additional $35 in free products on top of the regular hostess benefits.  I have some great ideas for Christmas cards so let me know if you are interested in hosting a workshop or class.

October 11 Card Class

These are the cards we will be doing at a card class on Tuesday night:

October 2011 Newsletter

It's hard to believe my Grandson Owen is already two months old.  Isn't he cute!
Whenever I see him, it instantly puts me in a good mood.

Card Club
My first card club started on October 4, and we had a lot of fun.  Card clubs consist of 6 people, and we meet once a month at my house.  Every month we make six cards (2 of 3 different designs) using different products and techniques.  Participants commit to spending $30 per month, and each participant gets to be the hostess one month.  I have a few people that have expressed an interest in joining a club, and I hope to get another one started soon.  Please let me know if you would be interested in joining us.

Join the Stampin’ Up! Family

During October, new demonstrators will get a FREE Big Shot or up to $100 in FREE Stampin' Up! products of their choice. In addition to receiving a 20% discount on all of your favorite products, there are many other reasons to join the Stampin’ Up! family as a demonstrator.  Please let me know if you would like additional information on this great opportunity.

 Clearance Rack
Stampin' Up! has added more items to the Clearance Rack in the Online Store, including some holiday products!  Go to my website at:  http://brendariehle.stampinup.net  under “Shop Now” to check these items out.

Free Stamp Set!
Also in October, if you buy two Simply Sent Kits, you get a FREE coordinating stamp set! Our Simply Sent Kits are the ideal choice for the beginning crafter. The card kits offer a variety of basic themes, so it's easy to create cards for any occasion.  These can be viewed on pages 192-193 in the big catalog or on my website.

Workshops  and Classes
The holidays are approaching fast, and I have a lot of nice ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts and cards.  Workshops are a great way to earn free products, and classes can be a fun and productive way to spend some time with friends while you prepare for the holiday.   Please contact me to schedule a workshop or class.

Projects for October 1 Workshop

I'm looking forward to doing some fun projects at an upcoming workshop on October 1.

This card was inspired by Sarah Wills on Splitcoaststampers.

The background of this Christmas card uses a new embossing technique that I just learned.
If you plan to make homemade Christmas cards this year, I have some great ideas.

These tiles make great gifts and can be used as coasters or trivets.

Cards for a Card Class on September 13

I am looking forward to holding a card class at a friend's house on September 13.  Below are the cards we will be making using two new stamp sets out of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  (Please note:  The inspiration for the first card came from gails on Splitcoaststampers, and the layout for the second card came from Cindy Grantham on Stampin' Connection.  Thank You, Ladies!)

Please contact me if you would be interested in joining a Card Club, hosting a Workshop, or holding a Card Class.

Stampin' Up Simply Scored

The Stampin' Up! Simply Scored is a great new product.  It works perfect for scoring anything you need to fold or crease, and it's also great for making the rosettes pictured below.  The new Holiday Mini Catalog shows a wreath that can be made with the rosettes, and they can also be used to adorn cards and scrapbook pages, instead of a bow on packages, as Christmas decorations, etc.

Monday, August 22, 2011

I recently became a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, and I am pleased to announce the following:

Card Clubs:
A few people expressed an interest in joining a card club later this fall, and I hope to get at least two clubs started.  My schedule is fairly flexible, but I propose holding a club the first Tuesday and Thursday of each month in my home beginning at 6 p.m.  We can switch days and/or times if it ends up working out better for everyone in the club.  You will make 6 cards - 2 of 3 different designs. Each month the cards will be different, and I will have new ideas, techniques, products, etc. for you to enjoy!  Club Night will last approximately two (2) hours, and everything will be pre-cut and ready for you to assemble.  Please plan to bring your own favorite adhesive and scissors if you have them.    If you would like to join a card club, you would sign up for a 6-month club membership.  There will be no class fee for you!!  Your only obligation is to place a monthly order at the class of at least $30.  One of the six months you will be the “hostess” and receive all the hostess benefits too!  That means free merchandise and hostess sets every 6 months.  In addition, when it is your month to be the “hostess,” you can also increase your benefits by holding a workshop in your home to add to the total card club sales if this is something you want to do.   Please let me know if you would be interested in participating.  When you join a card club, you also receive a free catalog.
Card Classes:
Many people do not like to make a commitment to spend $30 every month on card-making supplies, but they would still like to get together with friends occasionally to make cards so I am also offering a card class where you would make 6 cards – 2 of 3 different designs for $10.  For anyone placing a $35 order at the class, the class fee would be waived.  As with the card clubs, the classes will last approximately two (2) hours, and everything will be pre-cut and ready for you to assemble.  Attendees would just need to bring their own adhesive and scissors.  The classes can be held with a minimum of three people in your home or mine, and almost any evening or Saturday would work for me.

Workshops:
Hosting a workshop is a great way to earn free Stampin' Up! products while you enjoy some time with friends and learn new techniques.  When you host a workshop, you automatically receive a free catalog and earn hostess benefits as follows:

When hosting a workshop, you would just invite all of your friends, provide refreshments, and I take care of everything else.  I usually plan two projects for your guests to complete, and then they can enjoy refreshments while looking through the catalog and placing orders.

If you would like to receive copies of my newsletter, please e-mail me at riehlebr@gmail.com.  Also, please remember that you can order online 24 hours a day directly from my website at http://brendariehle.stampinup.net   If you use the  www.stampinup.com website, please be sure to put my name in as your demonstrator to get the “Preferred Pricing.”

Thank you for your support.  I look forwarding to working with you.

Blessings,  Brenda Rigby Riehle
