Card Clubs for August 7, 8, & 14, 2012

Below are the cards that we will be doing for the upcoming card clubs on August 7, 8, and 14:

This card was inspired by my Stampin' Up! pen pal Lauri Ingram, and her very creative blog can be found at http://lauri-paperville.blogspot.com.  The card uses the Countryside stamp set which can be found on p. 85 in the big catalog.  The base card was done in certainly celery card stock and topped with always artichoke card stock that was embossed with the square lattice embossing folder.  I stamped the truck on whisper white paper and colored it in with ink from the top of the ink pad holder and blender pens along with a little outlining with markers.  The main color I used on the truck was cajun craze.  I lightly sponged around the whisper white with always artichoke and framed it with a piece of certainly celery.  I followed the same technique for the rooster and framed it with cajun craze.  The "just for you" comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and it was punched with the curly label punch.

This card was inspired by Lynn Put on Splitcoaststampers, and Lynn's amazing blog can be found at www.thequeensscene.blogspot.com.  The card uses the Create a Cupcake stamp set on p. 49 in the big catalog along with the coordinating punch which can be found on p. 185.  The base card uses tempting turquoise topped with melon mambo which has been embossed with the dots embossing folder.  Each of the cupcake pieces was stamped on whisper white in tempting turquoise, melon mambo, and daffodil delight and then punched out and adhered to another piece of whisper white which was framed with tempting turquoise.  It appears that the daffodil grossgrain ribbon at the bottom has been replaced in the new catalog with something just slightly different.  The little flowers at the top of the cupcake were punched out of card stock using one of the itty bitty shape punches.

This card uses the Wonderfall stamp set found on p. 33 in the new holiday catalog along with the cooridinating Autumn Accents Bigz die, and woodgrain embossing folder.  The base card uses daffodil delight card stock.  The piece that was embossed with the woodgrain embossing folder and placed on the lefthand side of the card is soft suede card stock.  I cut the leaves out of very vanilla card stock with the Bigz die before stamping with raspberry ripple, gumball green, and soft suede.  The sentiment at the bottom comes from Itty Bitty Banners stamp set on p. 134 in the big catalog, and has been cut out with the bitty banners framelits shown on p. 191 in the big catalog.  In the class we will make one card with an actual button, and one card from a button made out of paper, crystal effects, and the Button, Button stamp set on p. 100.

If anyone not in one of the clubs would like to make these cards, I still have room at my house on August 8.  The cost is $10, and I supply all materials except the adhesive.  Hope everyone is having a great summer!  Looking forward to seeing  you all soon,.
