The design for these cards was inspiried by Lynn Weiss, and her blog can be found at www.lwdesigns.blogspot.com. Both cards use the Two by Two stamp which has been inked with Night of Navy ink and stamped on Whisper White card stock, and then cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits. I used the colored pencils and blender pens to color in the picture. The base cards and piece behind the stamped image were done in Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink. The Bashful Blue was topped with a piece of Night of Navy, and the Pretty in Pink was topped with Melon Mambo both of which were embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. I used the Raspberry Ripple 3/8" stitched satin ribbon on the blue card, and the Gumball Green 3/8" stitched satin ribbon on the pink card. The little baby tag on the bottom right of the card was made using the Tiny Tags stamp set and coordinating punch.
These cards were made using the Evergreen stamp set. The base cards are River Rock and Wild Wasbi. The River Rock card has been topped with a piece of Elegant Eggplant, and the Wild Wasbi card has been topped with a piece of Certainly Celery both of which have been embossed with Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder. On the River Rock/Elegant Eggplant card the Christmas tree outline has been stamped with Elegant Eggplant on Wisteria Wonder paper, and the Silent Night words have been embossed in gold on top. I also sponged around the Wisteria Wonder paper with Elegant Eggplant. On the Wild Wasbi/Certainly Celery card the filled-in treee image was stamped with Certainly Celery on Whisper White, and the tree outline was stamped over the top with Wild Wasbi. The sentiment at the bottom comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set which was punched with the Word Window punch, and outlined with a piece of Wild Wasbi which was punched with the Modern Label punch. I sponged around the outside of the Whisper White paper with Wild Wasbi ink.
This card was made with the Joyous Celebrations and Merry Minis stamp sets and Holiday Frame embossing folder. The base card is Real Red, and the Holiday Frame was made with Garden Green card stock. The "Joy" was stamped with Real Red ink on Whisper White paper, and I also sponged around the Whisper White with the Real Red. There is silver glitter paper which has been punched with the Oval Scallop, and behind that is a piece of red glitter paper which has been punched with the Large Oval punch. The snowflake at the bottom was made with silver glitter paper and the snowflake sizzlit. The little Christmas tree at the bottom was stamped with Garden Green on Whisper White and cut out with the coordinating pucnh. The card was topped off with a little silver bow.
If anyone not in one of the clubs would like to make these cards, I have room at my house on November 14. The cost is $10, and I supply all of the material except adhesive.

ReplyDeleteYour cards are great, Brenda! I love how you used the River Rock c/s with the Elegant Eggplant - it looks amazing! (I haven't been able to figure out how to use River Rock - thanks for the inspiration) :)

ReplyDeleteHi Brenda,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you shared the link to your blog when you left a comment on mine! I really like your cards, especially the Angry Bird one for your stepson. I agree with Deborah, I've had the hardest time figuring out how to use River Rock, the package is still full, but it looks gorgeous with the Elegant Eggplant on your cards! Thanks for the inspiration!
Peace, Love & Joy,
Joyce

My favorite card is your green Evergreen card, but all of them look so nice! That was generous of you to give to someone participating in the LNS hunt on your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou rock!
